1. Pumpkin Patches & Autumn Trails - just a few of the many local places you can find pumpkin picking etc

Healeys Cornish Cyder FarmĀ (near Newquay) offers pumpkin picking and spooky tractor rides — great fun for little ones.

Pumpkin Fest at Camel Creek Adventure ParkĀ (near Wadebridge)

This October, join theĀ Camel CreekĀ team at their hotly anticipated Pumpkin Fest. It’s the perfect autumnal day out filled with pumpkins, photo opportunities, and cosy seasonal vibes. Explore the entire park, from their pumpkin patch, where every child will receive a FREE pumpkin, to their house of horrors and live spooky entertainment.


Cargoll Pumpkin Patch: PYO Pumpkins, St Newlyn East, Newquay

Dates:Ā First three weekends in October, then every day of October Half Term.Ā  CargollĀ is a pop-up pumpkin patch open throughout October every year. Wander through the pumpkin patch, take advantage of the photo points dotted throughout, and enjoy the Cornish Countryside. Dogs are welcome too.Ā

2. Halloween at Newquay Zoo & Blue Reef Aquarium

Keep kids entertained with Halloween trails, fancy dress competitions, and educational animal talks. Both are perfect rain-or-shine options.

3. Beach Days (Yes, still!)

Beaches like Fistral, Watergate, Mawgan Porth, Crantock, and Perranporth are less crowded this time of year — ideal for brisk walks, shell hunting, or even a splash if you're brave! Try out a paddle boarding lesson on the Gannel with Big Green Adventures. They even have a board big enough for the whole family to go out on! You can find them on Facebook, based in the National Trust Car Park at Crantock (next to the very very nice coffee stop, which has great cakes as well as hot drinks!

4. Eden Project's Ice Rink Opens Mid-October

A magical place year-round, Eden gets festive early with ice skating, half-term activities, and spooky crafts in the biomes.

5. Woodland Walks & Cream Teas

Wrap up warm and explore Tehidy Woods, the Camel Trail or the Wallace & Gromit dog trail at Cardinham Woods near Bodmin. Then reward yourself with a hot chocolate and scone — jam first, of course.
