Three very different holiday homes, each chosen because we'd genuinely enjoy staying there ourselves.
White Acres Holiday Park
White Acres has been a special place for us for many years. Spread across 182 acres of Cornish countryside, with its lakes, woodland and peaceful surroundings, it's somewhere we never seem to tire of returning to.
We've chosen three very different holiday homes here, each offering its own experience. Whether you're looking for a peaceful lakeside retreat, somewhere sunny and dog-friendly, or a spacious lodge with spectacular countryside views, we'd love to help you find the one that's right for you:

White Acres Holiday Park is located on the A392, between the A30 and Quintrell Downs. You’ll find all the facilities you need for a great holiday at White Acres, with 12 tranquil fishing lakes and 186 acres of gorgeous rolling Cornish countryside, an indoor pool and gym, crazy golf, kids activity centre and play areas. Don't forget that you can also enjoy the evening entertainment that the sites "Troupers" put on for you every night.
To enjoy the fishing lakes you need to purchase a fishing voucher from the Tackle shop. You will need to show your rod licence (purchased from the Environment Agency).
The park has a bar, sports bar, restaurant, fish n chip take away, pizza and ice cream hub plus club house with evening entertainment and mini supermarket on site. Leisure passes are required to use the pool, book kids activities and play bingo. There is a dog friendly area in the main bar area.
The park is 12 mins away by car from Newquay town centre and local beaches: Porth, Watergate and Mawgan Porth.

Dowr View - 2 bed caravan in Sycamore Forest - sleeps 4
Best for: lake views, couples and families who love wildlife and peaceful surroundings.
Sunnyside - 2 bed pet friendly caravan in Sycamore Forest - sleeps 4
Best for: dog owners, sunshine lovers and guests who enjoy outdoor living.
Kingfisher Lodge - 3 bed caravan in Chestnut Forest - sleeps 6
Best for: larger families and groups wanting space, spectacular views and a peaceful setting.

Trevella Holiday Park
Trevella is set in a beautiful natural parkland setting with two well-stocked fishing lakes. The fishing lakes are free to use - but you must have a Environment Agency rod licence (£12 for 8 days and £30 for a year www.gov.uk/fishing-licences/buy-a-fishing-licence)
The caravan has secure decking area with outside table and chairs, offering lovely views across the local countryside out towards Pentire.
The park boasts a great outdoor heated swimming pool (with toddler pool) with life guards on duty 9am to 4pm. It is open from April to September.
This is a quiet park with no night time entertainment. There is a small pub - The Piskie Inn - which opens for a few hours every evening. The seating is all outdoors. Great to stop off for a tipple after a long day exploring!
The park is close to Crantock beach (there is a footpath from the park down to the Gannel Estuary cross country which takes 20 minutes to walk). A short drive away are Crantock, Fistral, Holywell, Perranporth and Polly Joke beaches. All are dog friendly all year round. Or you can cross to the South coast and explore Charlestown, Falmouth, Mevagissy or head down to The Lizard.
They have food vans on site near the pub: fish n chips, pizza and waffles. Check the boards by the pub as you drive in for details on which nights they are on site.
